Kamden Lang is a God-fearing, dedicated husband, father of three, Houston County business owner, volunteer, and proven leader with a deep passion for serving his community.
Kam previously served as a Deputy Sheriff with the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department for nearly a decade. His extensive experience spans a wide range of roles, including jails, courts, custody operations, specialized investigations, gang enforcement, Crime-Free Multi-Housing, Honor Guard, terrorism certifications, human trafficking, and his retirement from the Specialized Enforcement Division (S.W.A.T.). This diverse background uniquely equips Kam to serve Houston County with professionalism and expertise.
Educationally, Kam holds a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice and a Master’s degree in Public Administration. His financial experience will bring a fresh perspective to the Sheriff's Office, with a focus on budgeting, public administration, grant writing, and fiscal responsibility. Kam also actively gives back to the community through his membership in the Rotary Club of Erin and by leading Houston County’s Emergency Management Agency (EMA) Volunteer Program from 2022 to 2024. He has consistently participated in legislative committee meetings to stay informed about Houston County’s evolving political landscape.
Houston County will benefit from Kam’s extensive experience addressing some of the most challenging criminal issues, including drug trafficking, manufacturing, and gang activity in high-crime areas. His advanced training in school threat response will provide a strong foundation for protecting Houston County schools. Kam’s hands-on experience has equipped him with the strategies and determination necessary to tackle the county's unique challenges. He is passionate about restoring professionalism and trust in the Sheriff's Office, and is committed to fostering a proactive and transparent approach to community safety, with tangible and measurable actions.
